Last week, I mentioned the Etsy store Sophie’s Toes was selling kits with all the yarn needed to make a pair of my Orla Mittens.
Now is your chance to win one of those kits! We have a kit in this beautiful colorway, a creamy background with three shades of blue for the pattern. Just think of it as our little holiday present to you.
All you need to do to enter is leave a comment telling us who you would knit these mittens for. Please make sure to leave a valid email address in the comment form. The contest will end Sunday, December 7th, 2014 at 11:59PM CST. This giveaway is only open to readers in the US and Canada. One entry per person please. The winner will be picked using a random number generator.
The kit includes yarn and a copy of the pattern, you will need to provide your own needles.
* We are not affiliated with Sophie’s Toes financially in anyway, but they did give us this kit to giveaway.

I guess it wouldn’t be in the spirit of Christmas to say I want to knit these for myself! 🙂 They are beautiful colors. My sister will only wear the mittens I knit her 6 years ago and they are wearing a little thin. This would make a great replacement set. And an extra special treat since she quit smoking this year!
I would love these for myself as well. I would also love to knit them for my niece, who has been begging for something knitted from me
It’s not terribly in the Xmas spirit, but I’d knit them for myself. The rest of my family lives in warmer places, and my friends locally tend to be A, guys who wouldn’t wear mitts with a floral motif, or B, other knitters who make their own knitwear.
These are so beautiful! I would knit them for myself or one of my kids. We live in Michigan and it gets mighty mighty cold. These mittens would be sensational!
I would make them for myself or my sister!
These are beautiful! The first pair I knit would be gifted to my daughter to inspire both her and my Granddaughter.
I would make these for my daughter who lives in Brooklyn. This pattern screams her name.
The colors in this kit are AWESOME! These are the beach colors my daughter-in-law loves, and she would be the lucky recipient. Who wouldn’t want to wear these and dream of a warm, peaceful beach in January! Woo hoo!
Wow…. Love the pattern…. Love the colors….. Love to have them…thanks for the chance
The first time I saw these mittens posted I knew they were meant for me – I have coveted these many nights in my dreams I have wondered how I could possibly convince you into turning these beauties over to me…. well if I had the chance to make them – you could still keep yours!
I would make them for a Christmas present for myself…my daughter has a nice pair she is wearing now….and I need a new pair.
I fell in love with these mittens the first time I saw them–and I think it’s not only because of the design, but the color combination is gorgeous! I would love to make these for me, but will hold my anxiety and would knit them as a present to my granddaughter instead.
I would make them for my daughter or myself – depends on what they look like when I’m done with them! I usually start an item & by the time I’m finished with it, it tells me who it belongs to – and that’s usually NOT me!
Love the colors! I would make them for my daughter!
Is it wrong to want these for myself? 😉 I would say one of my daughters but neither of them like mittens…interferes with their texting I guess.
Who, besides myself would I knit these for? Probably my sister-in-law, she lives in mitten country, Fargo, and as a teacher she’s out on the schoolyard a lot. Plus, she help mmy in-laws out thru the week. Avery busy lady who needs a “brightener” for those LONG No. Dakota winters
I’d make them for my daughter to help her stay warm running around campus!
I would lovingly knit them for myself….
If I cannot first give myself a gift…how will I be able to give a gift to another….
I think I’d make these for my sister (if I don’t keep them myself). She needs a new pair – the ones I made 6 years ago have been worn bare.
I would love to make these mittens for myself! Selfish, I know, but these mittens they’re too pretty to give away. I know once they’re completed, I’ll have to fight the urge to keep them, so why argue? 🙂
I would totally knit these for my co-worker, she’s the biggest Orla Kiely fan. She’s the most kind-hearted saint and always doing for others so I’d love to surprise her with these which I know she’d absolutely adore.
What a beautiful pattern! And beautiful yarn. I’d make them for my niece in Iowa. And then I’d make another pair for myself!
I love the colours of this yarn. My daughter is teaching in a country that has a cold winter and I would love to make these for her.
So cute, Kat! Living in coastal CA, I don’t have much need for mittens. I’d make them for a good friend who lives in Boulder. She needs them!
I would make these for my daughter. I loved this pattern when you posted it. It would be a joy to knit it up in the yarn you used. Thank you for the chance.
I would love to make these mittens. I would probably make them for my momma or my aunt. They are so nice.
Me, me, me. I’m the biggest Orla Kiely fan. They are so cute! In Montreal, I need those.
I would definitely knit these for myself. If they turn out well, I would make another pair for my mom.
I love the pattern and colour. I would make them for my niece whose birthday is immediately after Christmas (27th).
I would knit them for my best friend. She loves those colors. I think she would really enjoy them during our cold winters!
I would knit these for my twin sister…and in these, her favorite colors. What a beautiful pattern…thank you so much for sharing.
I would knit these for my son’s GF who is new to our family.
My knitting friend Rebecca who loves making mittens. We are already doing a hat exchange (Sheep Heid) so I’d then ask her to make a pair for me. We might even enter them competitively in the MN state fair. 🙂 (we’ve both won ribbons in the past and enter every year)
I would make them for my daughter-in-law, who is expecting her second baby! The colors would go eith the scarf I knit for her.
I would love to make these mittens my mom, sister and sister-in-law! But..I must make the first pair for myself as a test pair 😉 so when I make the other mittens they will be perfect.
I would knit these fabulous mittens for my little sister who is a soon to be Mom. Thanks!
I would make these for my daughter-in-law. She would love them!
I will knit these mittens for my sweet but hard to buy for Sister in Law Karin. She has fantastic taste and always looks so put together. It will be fun to add a touch or warm whimsy to her winter attire.
I would knit these mittens for my mom.
I will probably knit them for myself. They will go with the new blue coat I’m getting for Christmas.
I would totally knit these for myself…or perhaps for my daughter who is a teacher and a classroom temperature of a meat locker!
My niece would love these.
Who was the lucky winner of this pattern and yarn??
The winner was Anna in Decatur, GA. Though everyone can get the pattern since it is free!
This is Anna in Decatur. Thank you so much! I love the pattern and the yarn is delectable. Thank you again!
