PPR Challenge #13 – Kat’s Design

Challenge – The Finale
Challenge – Create the final show stopping look from your final collection.

Here we are, the final runway. It’s been a rough season, so let’s enjoy the pretty.

My final look is a black gown. The top has pleating for shaping and a asymmetrical stand up bust line. It has the clean, classic lines I tend to design. Still, I couldn’t resist a little bling.

Along one side of the dress I inserted a fabric with a little texture that is shot with silver. I wish the silver showed up a bit better in the photographes. While the black shirt is mainly straight the insert has a little more volume to it so it flows off to the side and back slightly.

For accessories, I went with a very high, open toed black evening shoe with just a touch of bling on it. I didn’t want a necklace to take away from the neckline, but I knew it needed a big glittery bracelet. Both the bracelet and shoes are from Piperlime.

I have to say I was hoping for something a little more dramatic for my final dress, but as I started draping and playing with the fabric, this is what came out. I guess high-drama isn’t me (I’ll leave that to Josh).
