It is almost state fair time here in Minnesota. That means crafters around the state are putting final touches on their entries for this years Creative Activities competition. I’ve got a pair of mittens all ready to enter, but let’s see what the other Iron Crafters would enter. Create a project that you could enter in one of the categories for the Minnesota State Fair. You can chose projects from any of the ones listed in these categories guides, Needlecraft, Garment Making, Handcrafts, Collections or Crop Art and Scarecrows. Have fun with it!
Here are some winning entries I’ve seen over the years.
Patriotic Barbies
Quilt on a Stick
Seed Art
Reveal date is Tuesday, August 18th. Please only share in progress photos before that date. Tag photos with IC1516 and IronCraft.

I don’t stand a chance! But I shall “enter” something anyway. 😉
C’mon Ros, I know you are dying to try some crop art!
I totally am! I have just been out gleaning in the fields. Though it is an entirely new-to-me craft so I am not going to be up to show standards.
I admit, I was also incredibly tempted by ‘Quilt Onna Stick’. They don’t have that here…
I’m sort of tempted by Quilt on a Stick too, though the theme this year is a little blah.
