This is it the last Iron Craft challenge of 2016 and, I hate to say it, but the last Iron Craft challenge (for awhile anyway). It has been a wonderful six year run. That is 182 challenges, since in the first year we did one a week! But all good things must come to an end and I feel like it is time for Iron Craft to take a break. I have not been able to commit as much time to it over the last year and I feel that same energy from many of the members as well. We have gone from challenges have 30 projects to many just having 2 or 3.
We have met some of the most amazing and supportive crafters doing this project. I especially want to call out some of those who have been with us since the early days, Dr. Russ (our best cheerleader!), Tawny B, Ros Clarke, Line Labrecque, and my MIL Kathee. All of you who participated made this project worth doing and really pushed me to broaden my crafting skills.
So for this last challenge, we want you to make whatever you want. I’m sure there is a project you’ve been thinking of doing, but never had the right challenge for it. This is the chance to get it done and show it off.
Reveal day is Tuesday, January 3rd. Please only share in progress photos before that day. Tag photos with IC1626 and IronCraft.

I’m in! I’ve got nearly two weeks off, so I must be able to manage something for the very last Iron Craft Challenge.
Looking forward to seeing what everyone else comes up with, and to see where you go next with your crafting, Kathy.
You kind of have to for the last challenge, don’t you?!
I’m so glad I checked in today. Can’t believe I almost missed the last one. I’ve been mia for quite a few months having so much to do and think about that like you I had to choose. You are not the lesser of things. I’ve just been overwhelmed by it all. I will gladly participate in this one. And I must thank you for carrying the torch for all this time. I, too, have learned so much from all the crafters and all their creations. They have inspired me and pushed me to new avenues and ideas and I am grateful.
So, to Kat and all the others, I wish you a very happy Christmas and a wonderful new year.
ps. Mmm, anything we want. That could be fun.
It has been a fun run, but everything has its time. Thank you for being a part of it!
