Shopping Bags. Inspiration.

As we say goodbye to 2013, many of us will also say goodbye to free shopping bags. Come the new year, if the store hasn’t started charging already, there will be a charge for bags. Some of the shops are raising the prices of the bag. One I know of is going from .05 to .25 per bag. That could leave a mark!

Artist Yuken Teruya took shopping bags and cut trees into them.

    • We’ve had a charge for shopping bags for a couple of years now and most stores have stopped charging us for them. Personnally, I try to use the re-usable bags but I usually forget them at home.

      • I always forget them too. We don’t have a law here yet to charge for bags but store give you a discount or give a small amount to charity if you do use them. Since we have a ton, I try to remember, but it seems like they are always in the car or sitting back at home waiting to go back in the car.

    • I have 8 different reusable bags that I keep in the car. When I get home and empty the contents, back they go to the car just like the groceries go in the pantry, all part of the process.
