Project Project Runway #11 – House of Cornish

Time for the textile challenge.

I drew my inspiration loosely from Patricia Michaels. I thought about the feathers, and decided that I could “manufacture” that in my “home studio”.

The dress is hot pink on the bottom, and white shirting on the top. I followed my own notes on this one, and used cotton, similar to what the designers’ fabric comes on. (I prefer to work with something stretchy and/or something with more drape. And I am betting the designers would too.)

The pattern has a light feel. I am happy with how it came out.

The back of the dress meets in a “v” but not too low.

I don’t think I’m pushing the envelope this week. But I am happy with the result. I think the dress and the pattern are successful.
How did you do with this challenge? We are getting down to the finalists. And, from here on out, I don’t know what happens!

    • Very cute fabric, and style! Very “modern vintage”. You ladies ever think of duplicating your PPR Barbie designs for yourself? This one is terrific for everyday wear and stylish at the same time, as was Kat’s.
