Modified Nordic Star Granny Square

As I mentioned in an earlier post, Jenny and I have decided to chose our own square on the weeks that Wise Craft doesn’t give them to us for the Granny Square Sampler Afghan Project. This week we chose the Nordic Star Square from Priscilla’s Crochet. We sat down together to work on it last Friday. The square went together quite well until we reached round 8. Neither of us could get it to work out right. I went to look at notes from others on Ravelry who had done the square. A few people mentioned an error in round 8 and gave their fixes. We tried that and still it came out funky, so I played around a bit and came up with my own way to finish the square.

I’m not going to write up the whole pattern here as I want to respect Priscilla’s ownership of it. Instead, I will give you the instructions for the changes I made.
