Pillow

A friend of ours is a graphic designer by day, and a real craftswoman by night. She designs (and sells) beautiful jewelry, and she has started to print her own textiles. She and I have been happily discussing her designs and all of the wonderful things we could create with them. And on her last visit, she offered me a section of her latest print from Spoonflower. I was blown away.
Here in San Francisco, if you ride public transportation, the city has moved to the “Clipper Card”, that is good for use on all the different systems that the city offers.
Before that, you got a monthly Muni Pass, and since their retirement they are considered art now.

Michelle took the designs, and made them her own, and made a print out of them. And the minute I saw it, I wanted to make something for the “freshen up” challenge out of the fabric.

I opted for a pillow.

I made up some piping – just to give it a little more finished look. Then I used the same sage green for the back.

And here is how it came out:

I love the modern look. And I love this print.
