Iron Craft Challenge #8 – Love Your Mother…Earth

Since Earth Day is on April 22nd and hits in the middle of this challenge cycle we thought is was a good time for Iron Craft to go a little green. For this challenge we would like you to turn something you would normally give or throw away into something else.

The CSI Project shows how to turn an old map into a cool new candle.

Design Sponge has a tutorial to turn a mailing tube into a sleek wine rack.

Of course, if you are feeling really why not go for something bigger like this wine bottle chair (sorry, I cannot find the original source for this). Though my friend Erica points out, it would probably get hot to sit on outdoors 😉

Posting date is Tuesday, April 24th. Please post only workroom photos before that date. Tag photos with IC8 and IronCraft.

    • Would bits and pieces leftover from other projects be okay to use in this challenge? Like small fabric scraps and things like that?
