PPR Challenge #1 – Kat’s Workroom

Oh, it’s fun to be back in the workroom and it’s even better when first challenge is the unconventional materials challenge. This time we were headed to the 99 Cent Store to get our materials. Ok, I headed to the Dollar Store, but close enough. Boy, there was a lot to chose from, I decided the best thing to do was chose a color palette and pick items based on that. I went with black and silver.

I ended up getting a black laundry bag and a whole bunch of black and silver headbands. I spent a total of $4.29. I’m not sure I’ll use everything I got, but I wanted to make sure I had enough. Now the laundry bag may seem like a bit of a cheat, lots of black fabric, but let me tell you this bag is not made of any fabric I’ve ever seen, it’s a lot like a tissue paper. I can’t imagine it would last through carrying one load of laundry. This is going to be tricky.

I also want to introduce you to one of my new model’s for this year. She is a Liv doll and I’ve named her Jade. I have to say she’s not much a dresser right now, just a wee bit trashy, hopefully I can help her out on that front!

Looking forward to Thursday’s Runway Day.

    • The judges this time didn’t seem to care about using items that related to fabric, so I didn’t worry too much about that. I like your new model, go Team Liv!
