Project Project Runway #10: House of Cornish

This week we were kickin’ it with the Rockettes! How fun!
I went to Britex Fabrics and found sequins, “illusion”, and trim all in one fabric.

That is some fabric, no? There is a whole section called “occasion”. That is an occasion alright! There were some STUNNING fabrics in there, I have to say.
And here is my Rockette submission

Illusion netting is some tough stuff. I have a whole new appreciation for ice skating costume design. We used to laugh and call it “pantie hose shirts”. I thought it was just stretchy in all directions. Let me say, it is not that stretchy. At least, not the piece that I used.

The back is illusion.
The skirt is short, but not that short. The top is not strapless, so my gal can dance.

Just work with me here, that I built in the proper structure underneath so that it would be practical.

We are kicking and dancing all the way down the runway.
