Welcome to season 12 of Project Runway and a new season of Project Project Runway! If you want to join in the fun this season get all the details here. Let’s jump right in…
Challenge – Tie the Knot
Create a look using a bow tie as a point of departure. At least one bow tie must be used in the look in a non-traditional way. Since we aren’t being provided with a ton of bow ties, we are going to say you can also use a regular men’s tie.
This should be an easier one for us, as a tie has a lot of fabric for a doll outfit, but you can also use other fabrics in your design.
Budget – $20
Time Limit – 11 hours
Accessories – Choose your other accessories from the Belk accessory wall.
Runway Day – Runway day is Thursday, August 15th.
Just a reminder only in-progress photos should be posted to the Flickr group before Runway Day. Save the big reveal for next Thursday. Please tag your photos with PPR4 and ProjectProjectRunway.
Ok, I don’t agree with the winner again. It was good, but I felt the top looked a little “craft project.” Bradon was definitely getting the winner’s edit, that’s for sure. Seriously, Dom’s dress was amazing. The work on those stripes! The girl was robbed (in my humble opinion).
Should we even talked about the drama?! I am glad they kicked Sandro off. I’ve felt all season that he was standing on a dangerous edge and could have possibly ended up hurting someone. Plus let’s face it, his designs were tacky, tacky, tacky.

I know who got kicked off during the Coney Island challenge, but was ready to Alejandro go. He needs to learn the proper way to interact. I have not seen the last two shows in their entirety. I have to record them because I usually have a grandchild or more. So now I am ready to see if I can work on this challenge. Can’t wait to see what everyone else is up to!!
I’m glad that Sandro has gone, too. I don’t think that environment was good for him and his behaviour went way beyond the line of drama that’s fun to watch.
I’m so disappointed that I’m on holiday again this week and next (well, not really) – I have a whole bag full of beautiful tie fabric that would have been perfect for this challenge!
