PPR Challenge #9 – House of Cornish

This week we were to find the intersection of fashion and technology  – using lights, black light, and electricity.
Lights up
The trick was, in barbie land, that is hard to do. Even the smallest lights are too big to give a sweet ‘fire fly’ type of illumination.
Lit up
I’m afraid I am with Miss Scarlet on this one friends. “I don’t work in neon”. I just don’t think it’s really a good look for anyone. It harkens back to Boy George during the rough years.

The dress is exaggerated in it’s volume. It’s a ‘bubble hem’ skirt, and a nipped in waist.
Avant Guard dress
The photographs don’t show the dress to it’s best advantage. But I tried to show the shape of it.
It was hard to engineer the dress. And I think in real life it would be a fire hazard. It heated up just during the photo shoot. (And after one touch, my little assistant pulled back.)
Foot lights.
I really like the way it turned out, in the end.
