The last clue in our Winter Snows Mittens MKAL was released last Monday and the finished mittens are rolling in. I can’t tell you how fun it is to see all these different versions of my pattern knit up.
It is so great to see all the different color choices and other ways people made the pattern their own, from a picot edged cuff, to striped in the cuff, to a gusseted thumb. It reminds you that one of the joys of knitting is being able to make something your own.
Just a reminder that next Monday we’ll be starting our Design Along, a four-week “class” where we’ll be helping you to design your own custom fit color work mittens. Check out all the details here.

That’s really nice to see all those variations. Does it sway you in color choices? I was drawn to all the browns and to see those colors made me curious about trying to make a pair for myself.
I’ve already made them in grey, so I probably won’t make them again, but seeing all these different color ways makes me wish I had added a pop of color.
What lovely mittens! I love all the different color choices….
Me too!
