PPR Challenge #3: House of Cornish

This was the “yoplait yogurt” “Coney Island” challenge. Otherwise known as “stuffed animals, beach balls, and sombreros”.
I  would have loved to use a hat, but I could not find one.

And really, could I have done better than the girls did with their red hats? Not likely.

I used these lovely hand puppets.

My design is very furry. I was thinking Cruella DeVile. I could not do another big coat though.

I put a 60’s Twiggy spin on it. Let me say that working with scraps of fur was challenging. The whole dress is hand sewn. I tried many many accessories with it. Mittens. Boots. But they all looked costumie. I chose to edit, and just show the dress. And a muff.

I went for a high neck,

a racer back, and a trapeze skirt.

It was a hard challenge to do in our small scale.

But really – some of the stuff that went down the runway was questionable. So I am super safe. I can’t WAIT to see what goes down tonight!
