DIY Inspiration – Vintage Pyrex

A picture on Pinterest that didn’t lead anywhere (isn’t that the most annoying?!) got me started on a search for cool vintage Pyrex.
043 Oval Casseroles
Jeni over at In Color Order has an amazing collection and so much information about it. The picture above is of her favorite size, 043 Oval Casserole. Don’t you just love them? I’m particularly attracted to the pink stems (it looks like and Orla Kiely design, doesn’t it) and the blue tulip.
Butterprint
I’m pretty sure my mom got this Butterprint set as a wedding present.

It got me thinking about creating my own custom patterned dishes. You can get basic casseroles and bowls at places like Target, Bed, Bath and Beyond and World Market for not too much money. Then It would just take a steady hand and a marker like the Pebeo Porcelaine. The markers even come in white, which a reviewer said worked great on black mugs. After you do your design you bake the finished piece according to directions and they are even dishwasher safe.

    • I always look for the stuff when I am at resale shops.. love it too. Is that stuff yours or does she have the same table cloth as you? I have never seen it at your house.
