Falling leaves and a festive feast

I’ve started on a scarf for my sister that is loosely (very loosely) based on a scarf she like at Anthropologie. I’m knitting leaves in a couple shades of green and then will sew them together to create the scarf. The leaves are about 3 inches long and I figure I’ll need 24 or 32. Luckily they go really fast. I made 8 Sunday evening & 4.5 last night at Chicks with Sticks. The leaf pattern is from Nicky Epstein’s Knitted Embellishments at book I think is really fun.

Speaking of Chicks with Sticks, last night we had our holiday/anniversary potluck. Check out this feast.
It is hard to believe that this little knitting group that my friend Gabbi and I started has last 2 years with an email list of over 500 people. We’ve really had some great times and made some good friends.
