Ok, I know some of you think that my knitting has taken a strange turn lately but really there is a reason I am knitting such odd things. If you’ve read my site for awhile you know that I often do the window displays for the LYS Noe Knit. Currently I’m working on one that has a bbq theme thus knit hot dogs, hamburgers & even ants. This weekend I whipped up a knit veggie kabob.
of course they are skewered on a knitting needle! Currently, I’m working on some corn on the cob. Funny my knitting group is so used to my odd knitting that last night whenever anyone asked what I was working on & I said corn on the cob their response was “Of course you are.” So believe me I ‘m not knitting odd art pieces for around my house but it is fun to think about how to get these different shapes to create things like knit food & animals.
On a more useful front I finished 2 pairs of Fetching this weekend as well.
I added an extra cable to the wrist on these since they are for Daria & she asked for them to be a little longer. Thrilled that I feel comfortable with cabling now so I’m going to dive in & start a cabled blanket.
