#54 – Quilting Frustration

Today after lots of practice on my “mini quilt” I started to quilt my actual quilt. Everything was going along pretty well, it wasn’t perfect but I was starting to get the hang of it. Then I accidental sewed over one of my pins so I stopped, ripped out those stitches & restarted. Suddenly I couldn’t get my machine to sew right. The stitches were much tinier than before & my tension had changed dramatically. Again, I ripped out stitches. I changed my needle & tried again. Same problem. I rethreaded the machine. Still a problem & more stitches to rip out. I rethreaded everything & did some stitching on my practice piece, they looked just fine. Back to the quilt & the same problem. Once again I ripped out stitches. Tried my practice piece again & it sewed just fine. At this point I’m on the verge of tears. Time to set everything aside until tomorrow.

If anyone has any ideas I’m open to them. I can’t figure out why I can sew on my practice piece just fine but not my actual quilt. I’m a little worried I somehow messed up my free motion food when I hit the pin.
