    • Hi Kat, I just started the mitten advent garland in order to have it ready for Christmas 2016. I LOVE IT! Hats off to you for a fabulous design. It will grace the archway in my living room; it is a perfect spot. I have one question…Did you wash and block them?

      • Yes, I definitely blocked them. It really makes a difference in how the colorwork looks at the end. We also discovered that adding a little white vinegar to the soaking water really helped keeping red from bleeding into the white. There are lots of discussions about blocking these in the Ravelry group.
