Halloween Mantel 2013

Even though we still don’t have most of the furniture in our new loft, (It’s being delivered next week yea!) I still decorated the mantel for Halloween. I made a few new things, the snake candeholders and the zombie siamese twin dolls, but most things were from years past, from the dollar store, or just things I had around.

I made the jars a few years ago using waterslide decals, here are the details.

The candleholders are ones that I use year round, but they work great for Halloween.

The Zombie Baby Head is from last year. This year I put her under a cloche which I think works really great. The skull plate is also made with the waterslide decals and one of my favorite things I made that year. I picked the Egyptian black cat statue up years ago at the British Museum, it lives around my house year round, but seems perfect for the Halloween mantel.

I had plans for a wreath too, but time just got away from me this year. Otherwise, I really like the look of just the black white and grey against our stone mantle and grey walls.

What did you do to decorate this year?
