Oh, so close

Ready to assemble
All the square are done for my quilting class, yeah! Now is the fun of hand sewing them together & sewing on the border. It’s a little tricky as the squares did not all come out the exact 12″ x 12″. Still for my first time doing hand piecing I think it’s pretty ok. Next we miter our border corners & baste on the batting & backing…then I think finally its the hand quilting!

    • Nice job. I think it is exellent for your first time. Everything matches up nicely. What did you think of the dresden plate. I like the look of them but I think they are a bit too fussy for me.

    • Lori – I didn't mind doing most of the Dresden plate but doing the appliqued circle in the middle was a little tricky. The biggest issue I had was getting holes in the middle of my stars.
