Challenge 7: What’s Mine is Yours

Challenge: Create a resort look
Project Project Runway - Challenge 7
My look started with a sleek black bathing suit with a bandeau top & swim skirt bottom. I love the classic look of a swim skirt. I was tempted to add more to the suit like silver stripes or dots but thought it looked richer in simple black.

The swim suit comes with a matching wrap skirt for use as a cover-up around the pool or as a very sexy evening look. The skirt has a fun eyelet pattern. Because metallics are on trend for day right now, I added some silver peeking through some of the eyelets.

The look is paired with a pair of Kenneth Cole sandals that have a matching eyelet & silver look plus a beachy looking bracelet.

Make sure to check out what Susi did too. It’s amazing how similar our ideas were.

Handmade 365 2010- My goal is to spend time everyday working on something handmade for a year & photograph it.

    • Lisa – Yes, technically that is how it should have happened but there was no good way to make it work. The designers on the show were with each other the whole time to talk them through the design. Also since no one lost because of the other person's sewing skills it didn't seem to matter.

    • I have never watched the show being a)male and 2) not having the cable, but based on Doglington's comment could you sketch a design, photograph the drawing and specify materials? Regardless, it looks like you are having fun with this.
