#241 – More Clothes Redos

Time to alter a few more items of clothing….

First this jersey skirt. It’s really comfortable & great for traveling but the original waistband was 8-inches tall with the idea to fold it over. If found this just created bulk & strange lines under shirts. So I cut it down to about 3-inches & whipstitched the top.

I got this cowl neck top at Target last week. I love the way the big neck looks & the fact that its comfy sweatshirt material but looks nicer than that. The issue was it was more of a tunic length, coming down before my butt. I just find in a form fitting top that length isn’t flattering on me. So I cut off a few inches so that it now comes mid-hip. I don’t have a serger so just used a zig-zag stitch on my machine. There are a few puckers when it is laying flat like this but on you would never know.

I’m heading on vacation to Amsterdam this week & temps there are in the 60’s so these pieces will both be coming with me.

Handmade 365 2010- My goal is to spend time everyday working on something handmade for a year & photograph it.
