#60 – 400+ inches of binding

#60 - 400+ inches of binding
Spent the day making binding & attaching it to the quilt today. It was easier than expected. I used this tutorial from Heather Bailey for making my binding because I wanted to do the joins on the diagonal instead of straight to reduce bulk. The sewing went pretty easily. I did mitered corners like Randi shows on I Have to Say. They are pretty neat looking but I think I’ll get better at those with time. I’m having a bit of a hard time figuring out how to make them as neat on the back. I have almost two sides hand sewn & plan on finishing the hand sewing today to show off a finished quilt!

By the way I think I have enough strips to bind a second quilt.

Handmade 365 2010- My goal is to spend time everyday working on something handmade for a year & photograph it.
