16 – An Inside Job

16 - An Inside Job
Still working on robot mitten #2. I’m pretty proud of how neat the inside of these mittens look. I try not carry a color longer than 3 or 4 stitches without wrapping it & I try to vary where I wrap row to row. I try to keep the tension even & not too loose or too tight but its tricky. I’m afraid there is a little pulling at some of the places but I’m hoping, since these mittens are wool, blocking will work a lot of that out. I do end up having to stop every round our so to untwist the yarns though. One nice thing about wrapping as often as I do, the carried stitches don’t catch on my rings when I wear my mittens.
What are your tricks or knitting with more than one color?

Handmade 365 2010- My goal is to spend time everyday working on something handmade for a year & photograph it.

    • I love when a project looks so beautiful on the inside/back, even if no one else sees it. BEAUTIFUL JOB. As for pairs of things, who says the mittens/socks have to match. Maybe they could just compliment each other?
