One pair down, another on the needles

I finished my pink cabled socks.
Finished pink cabled sock don’t you love how they match my pajamas?

I started on Matt’s techguy socks with a few stumbling blocks…
#31 - Socks for My Sweetie First of all the pattern called for 24 stitches over 4 inches. To me this just seemed really loose with the Shepard’s Sock yarn. A lot looser than I’d like the weave on socks. I finally decided to go with a gauge of 36 stitches over 4 inches & just use the basic sock pattern from Ann Budd. I’ve also discovered with the Ann Budd pattern I prefer the socks that are an inch smaller than my measured foot circumference. I started Matt’s socks & the same thing had to rip it out to make the one an inch smaller.
