blanket Q&A

A couple people have asked me some questions regarding the blanket in my last post. Since I can’t figure out how to reply to them directly (how do you reply when their email address is just the blogger no reply, anyone know?) I figured I’d just answer here.

1. I’m not using a pattern for this blanket. It’s pretty basic though, the edge is just a garter stitch and the blocks themselves are alternating stockenette. I used my gauge swatch to figure out how many stitches i need on the edging on the sides to be the same size as the edging on the bottom & top.

2. The reason there won’t be any seaming when I’m done is because I am using intarsia to join the colors. I’m still pretty new to intarsia & it took me a little bit to get used to changing colors in the row making sure to wrap my yarns but now its moving quickly. Now when the blankets done I’ll just have to weave in ends & both the front & the back on the blanket look great.
