Finished shrug & hemmed edge

Matt had to work all weekend so I spent the time getting a lot of knitting done as well as hosting a girlee brunch. Saturday I finished the openwork shrug. Here’s the lovely Kathy modeling it. (trying to look like her twin from Interweave.) I used Supercotton which has great stretch to it.

I also started to knit a sweater pattern I’m hoping to submit for the next SNB. I wanted a hemmed edge which is something I’ve never done before. It was a little time consuming doing the crochet chain (as I don’t crochet) & then taking the chain off to start knitting from that side but I think the results are really worth it. This pictures shows both the right & wrong side of the hem…very pleased.

    • I absolutely love your shrug, it looks so cozy and fits you perfectly! And thanks for showing that detail pic of the sweater, that hem is certainly very interesting and beautifully done! Great job!
