Mitten Garland Advent Calendar – Mitten #14

It’s Monday and I hope you are all ready for our next advent calendar mitten.

As you can see, this week’s mitten features a bell hanging from what I like to think of as garland. I did the inside of the bell white, which meant I worked with three colors on those four rows. If you don’t want to work with three colors at once, do the inside of the bell the same color as the background or duplicate stitch that area in later. I do think doing that area in another color helps give the bell a bit more of a 3-D shape.

This is another mitten where watching the difference in your tension between the color work and single color areas will be important. If you don’t you make find the top (or bottom when hanging) of the mitten will be a little wider.
