Make the judges proud!

Let’s talk quickly about this episode. I always find these first few a little hard, there are so many designers and we don’t really get to hear the judges talk about a bulk of the looks. There were a few things that impressed me on the runway and a few that were really just a yawn (like Kini’s, I expected wakka doodle from him, not a Macy’s dress). The two looks that were at the bottom were clear losers, though I didn’t think Angela’s deserved to be there as much as anyone else did (maybe in person it was worse). I’m also not sure I loved the winning look as much as the judges did, man they are gaga for Sandhya’s work. We already have our mean girls, Korina and Mitchell, though Mitchell honey, it’s hard to talk smack after you almost got kicked off. I predict a short stay on the show for fäde zu grau (Fade to grey, really?! That’s not pretentious.) and Carrie (though he look surprised me last night).

Did you see the show? Did anything strike you in that sea of designers? Oh, and one last thing, thank goodness they didn’t bring Ken back!

    • I agreed with the sea of designers that picked Sandhya’s look as the loser, and I didn’t like Jefferson’s look, but I figured the judges would go gaga for high waisted shorty shorts, because that seems like something they would like. And then she won and he lost, and once again I have no idea why the judges pick what they do. Should be an entertaining season though!

    • Why do they all look surprised when Tim says it’s a one day challenge? I can barely remember the last time they had a two day challenge without a twist in it.

    • I would have put Hernan in the bottom instead of Angela. His dress was boring, badly made and barely covered his model’s butt. I didn’t mind Sandhya getting the win, though I thought Alexandra deserved it more. Her pants were fabulous. And now I have to go and make my own spring fashion show stand out garment!

      • Sometimes I think in these first challenges there are so many designs the judges also get a little lost in them. Still I think one of the worst went for sure.
