Viking Knitting Tools

Because Im always interesting in learning something new…

I mentioned a few weeks ago I wanted to try my hand at Viking knitting, a way of weaving wire for jewelry. I couldn’t find the tools in any store locally, so I ordered this kit on Amazon. I really doesn’t take much, a dowel to weave the wire on and the draw plate to make the woven wire tighter and smaller. It also came with a conditioning cloth and some wire to practice with. I’ve gone through the instructions and am a little intimidated to dive in. I’ll show you how I do once I get the guts to start.

    • I had never heard of this before. Looks pretty cool. Wish I was there so I could try with you. Can’t wait to see what you come up with.

    • You are a brave woman. Your abilities with yarn will be helpful for sure. I tried for a whole a 5 minutes once before realizing that my hands don’t want to do that. I can’t wait to see what you do, I’m confident that it will be wonderful.
