I am knitting a sweater for my daughter. It will be a replacement for her favorite sweater right now. I feel like I am in a race against time, so see if I can finish it before she is too big to wear it.
When I last left you, I had finished the picot edging, and I was working my way up the body. The trick will be to work out these pleats in the front so that it still fits and the pleats look right in this gauge.
I have created a pattern template on fabric. It is one inch gingham check.
The line across the chest is where the pleats will be added to the front pieces.
And here you have my progress, moving up towards the arm pits, getting excited about dividing the work.
Stay tuned.

Totally off topic, but did you and Kat see the Lammily doll? I had to laugh at this bit: “Barbie lead designer Kim Culmone vigorously defended the dolls ridiculous measurements, arguing not only that it wasn’t responsible for instilling negative body images in young girls but also that it was necessary to get clothes on and off the doll’s body with ease. They obviously haven’t been doing Project Project Runway! Barbies are the hardest to dress because of the tiny waist and big breasts and hips.
I saw it but didn’t read the whole article. How funny!
