Quilt of the Day: Super Circles

Be still my heart.

Seriously.
good folks quilt

Did I make this quilt myself, and I just don’t remember doing it? No, I did not. But I am tempted to stay up all night tonight and give it a try.

I L-O-V-E hot pink. And bright prints. And BIG prints. And Anna Maria Horner. And circles in quilts. All that. I love all that stuff.

But when you put hot pink in a quilt you have to be careful. And big prints too.  It can get really busy really fast, and not in a good way. Instead of being whimsical, and bright, it becomes chaotic and jangled, and not something you could curl up with.

This quilt, by Annie is just magical.

And she let us know that Anna Maria herself gave her a trick for doing the Super Circles. Here is the tutorial.

I gotta go. I have to go sketch circle quilts now. (In hot pink and orange, of course!)
