Jo Sharp was visiting San Francisco this weekend & spent Sunday afternoon at Noe Knit. It was a great time. She is such an inspiration & the story of her company & career is so interesting. I really enjoyed hearing about her design process since I’m trying to design some myself. I thought is was pretty amazing she’s considers herself not a very good knitter!

She brought a suitcase of samples from her new book Knit 1 which we all got to try on & fondle (we’re wearing them in this picture!). I’m starting a blanket from her Home book for Matt (he says I have to call him FH now) as a wedding present & have plans for a sweater for my sister from Knit 1 as soon as the Tweed DK comes out this summer.

Jo says she is touring the states to meet the people who ue her yarn & make her patterns to see what they wnt. It’ll be really interesting to see how that pans out in the next couple of books.
