Bangle Bag Pattern

This is a super east pattern & turns out really sweet. Spice it up with rhinestone bracelets.
Bride's bangle bag

Supplies:

1 skein Reynolds Rapture
Size 4 needles or size needed to get gauge
Tapestry needle
Two bracelets

Gauge:
5 stitches per inch

Cast on 25 stitches.
Work in St st for 3.75 inches ending with a purl row
Dec Row 1: ssk, k21, k2tog
Dec Row 2: p2tog, p17, ssp
Repeat Dec rows 1 & 2
Repeat decrease row 1
Work in st st for .5 inch

Bind off

Make a second exact piece.

Finishing:

Sew the two pieces together starting after the decreases on one side, across the bottom and ending before the decreases on the other side. To attach the bracelets, fold the top of one side of the bag over one bracelet towards the inside of the bag. Whipstitch the edge of the fold to the inside of the bag securing the bracelet inside. Repeat for the other side with the second bracelet.

    • Love the little bag! I thought I’d whip some up for use as a gift/favor bag for my niece’s birthday this summer! I wanted to ask if by sewing the two pieces together you meant by machine or by hand, or does it really matter? I appreciate you sharing the pattern – now I’m going to be on a hunt for some great bracelets!
