Ships Ahoy

So, I’ve been asked to make a sweater for a newborn with a sailing motif. As luck would have it at the same time one of the women I knit with was giving away the Kid Knits book which had this fabulous little sailing set. I’m just doing the sweater & hat.

I’m using the Tahki Cotton since it was the right gauge & has such beautiful colors. I started last Monday & now have the body done as well as starting a sleeve. Love these patterns where the body is knit in one piece & then stitches are picked up for sleeves…so easy. I want to get this done by Thanksgiving so I can start another pair of armwarmers that day for Peggy the lovely bartender at the dub. …i guess I better get on it.
